We have been wanting to visit Amicalola Deer Park for awhile. We pass it each time we go to Amicalola Falls. Today we decided to stop, and what a great place. They are a non-profit wildlife preserve and not only do they rescue animals in need, they also use the animals for therapy and education in the community. The people there are so nice, and they allow you to spend as much time with the animals as you want.
We all bought bags of corn and had so much fun feeding all the different animals. They have at least 3 different species of deer, llamas, pigs, goats, emus, ponies and lots of dogs…really BIG dogs! We will definitely be going back!
